school rant 001: failing grades

First part in a series of many that describes why my school is a dysfunctional, corrupted “center of education” that supposedly molds young girls into “leaders” (if they don’t commit suicide first.)

———————-

Firstly, I don’t know any other school that makes such a big deal out of one for two failing grades, and specifically “almost failing.”

If you are failing a class or are in danger of failing, my school feels the need to send out these reidiculous letters letting your family know. Why? I have no idea. Your family. knows. your. grades. They put it on the internet. They e-mail them.

Honestly.

Oh, and did I mention that those letters are called “deficiencies”? What right do they have to tell you you are deficient in something. No right. The person who is an algebra genius who finds the end to Pi could be suck at geometery and be labled “deficient.”

the ultimate love/hate

The only love/hate relationship that can rival Yu-Na Kim is with my mother.

I swear she could very possibly have bipolar disorder. She’s as moody as a teenager with her period—which is the role I am supposed to have >__> So imagine two women like that with no father and you have my family life =___=

injured +

Skating was brutal today. Somehow I fell stroking forward…and bruised my hip and knee pretty badly. That was deinfitely a WHAT JUST HAPPENED moment for me.

Oh well I’d like to think every fall makes me stronger.

Right? Right?

43 Things

OK! Ok! I know! Latin is bringing out my inner cynic.

But really. I signed up for this website called 43 Things last year. It was cute for about a month but I quickly abandoned it. And to be honest, I don’t really blame myself.

It’s supposed to be a list of goals you set for yourself and want to accomplish. Then when you are done there you can go and brag about how quickly you accomplished them or give others virtual support.

I see things on there like “Get Married.” A great goal for some, but I think it’s a little too important to put on a virtual “To-Do” list. Really? If you want to get married go and fall in love, don’t post it online and remind yourself of it every time you log onto the computer that you drive yourself insane and just settle for anyone.

I bet if I search I will find “have a baby.” *rolls eyes*

sleepovers…

are a blessed relief from my home life.

Very destressing—play and snack. What us all workaholics should be doing anyway.
