I love this. “Return to Vintage.” Lately I’ve been doing a lot of that.
I LOL’ed at Greg’s hand trick.
He was so sweet to Audrey…and Audrey was just plain cute!!!
Sigh…I was hoping for a much fancier name for these things. All I’ve seen is just “arm band” though.

I feel like that’s calling a cummerbund a “waist band” …
But anyway. They look really nice and sophisticated. Very 1930s :3 (which is of course why I love them).
But I’m not a man, so I can’t wear them ): (and look traditional)

George the Great sits at his throne.
And yes, as if his musical genius wasn’t enough, he painted the picture in the background.

Leonard Bernstein. I respect this man so.

Gary Cooper (the one at the right, the right!!!) was one handsome devil.
Not only did he have the fact that he was tall and dark, but he was close friends with Ernest Hemmingway! And vacationed with him! It wouldn’t suprise me if he was boyhood friends with George Gershwin or something of the sort.
He pressured his “other woman” to get an abortion, but later converted to Catholicism. In the end, he did more good than harm though.
Lovely, lovely Gary Cooper. I want to see more of your movies. RIP.
one day, i’ll be cruising around in a car just like this (or at least from the same decade). joanne woodward apparently had her own nash metropolitan. sign me up!
(via cuteoverload)
Lovely. I’ll have to save up someday…

Male actors of the 1930s and 1940s bloody kill me. They were all handsome romantics who were charming and sometimes enchantingly cynical.
I’ll have to write more on Cary Grant, Gene Kelly and Gary Cooper later~
